Following the death of his mother, 14-year-old Yannis is often left to fend for himself while his father is away working. One day he rescues a baby Pelican and decides to bring it up in secret, but on a tiny Greek island it’s not easy to hide such a magnificent bird and before long Nicostratos is the talk of the village. Soon tourists start to flock to the island bringing much needed trade but more importantly, could the pelican heal the rift between father and son?

“A beautiful film about loss, family and friendship.” – Debbie, Leeds Young Film
